About Unknown Bones Module

Picture
This blog profile presents an interdisciplinary module, which development commenced during the Design of Integrated Curriculum (CI5113) course, from the Integrated Curriculum in Math and Science Master’s program at American College of Education. Unknown Bones is an interdisciplinary STEM activity, which integrates Math, Biology, and Technology to model, and study sexual dimorphism in rhesus macaque monkeys. The final product was piloted with a group of Algebra 1 students at The School of San Juan in San Juan, Puerto Rico in May 2017, and will serve as my original contribution for the Capstone Experience course. As outreach, the activity was reviewed in Diálogo, a magazine of the University of Puerto Rico in Río Piedras. The module (teacher’s guide) is accessible as a resource for any educator at the Caribbean Primate Research Center website.
